Church Planting Movements Booklet

What is a church planting movement?  This 60 page booklet by David Garrison explains that a church planting movement is a rapid and multiplicative increase of indigenous churches planting churches within a given people group or population segment.  He explains this by describing some recent church planting movements (CPMs).  He then describes common elements and obstacles of CPMs, tips for missionaries, and concludes with a glossary.  Download the PDFLearn more.

Vehicle Maintenance

The best way to maintain your vehicle is through preventive maintenance at regular scheduled intervals.  If your vehicle use includes rough roads, dusty conditions, or other such extreme conditions, you will want to be proactive and perform more than what you might if these conditions did not exist.  Here is a sample vehicle service checklist, adapted from AidWorkers.net.  Download specific service schedules for the Toyota Corolla, Toyota Landcrusier, and Toyota Landcrusier HZJ75, 78, or 79.  It is important to find a good mechanic who is diligent and will go to great lengths to prevent problems.  It is equally as important to budget sufficient funds for regular vehicle maintenance, repairs, accidents, and replacement.

VPN and the Internet

Do you notice that when you connect to a VPN (virtual private network), you sometimes loose your internet connection?  That is because all your internet traffic is being routed through your VPN’s gateway.  If your only use of the VPN is to connect to a network for email or a specific application, this is unnecessary.  If you wish to surf the internet privately, you would want to use this and your VPN will probably be configured to handle this, so do not disable this feature.  Follow these steps to turn off this feature.  Learn more.
